For those who have started thinking green for St. Patrick’s Day, I just wanted to remind you about this cute SO LUCKY banner we shared last year. It was fun to see the way some of our favorite blogging pals styled it in their homes.
Over on Instagram we’ve been discussing how quickly everyone switches out their decor after each holiday. I was shocked when I showed up for Sunday dinner at my mom’s house yesterday and her St. Patrick’s Day decor was all up. She really is Supermom.
January was a bit of a whirlwind! If you follow along on Instagram, you probably saw us posting fun finds at CHA, the Craft and Hobby Association trade show we attended in Anaheim, CA. Next we hosted a bath salts, make-and-take table at the opening night party for the new BASH conference for party bloggers and event planners, which was hosted right here in Phoenix. There was also a fun trip to the zoo with Animal Jam, and then we totally got sucked into our new friend Rachel‘s book. We met Rachel at BASH and she gave us a copy of Party Girl — it’s in the genre of A Devil Wears Prada, and if you like light-hearted but enthralling stories like Twilight, then you’ll love this novel. This week we got back to work and shot a whole slew of new Valentine’s ideas that we’re excited to share.
First up is a new free printable Valentine’s banner. We still really like the preppy Navy & Fuchsia LOVE banner we shared last year, but we wanted to go back to black.
On New Year’s Eve, we love to invite a few families over and celebrate together. We usually have a little dance party and play some games. Then at “midnight” — since we are in Phoenix, we can celebrate with the crowd in Time Square at 10pm our time, which is conveniently more doable for the kiddos — we throw confetti and drink sparkling cider floats. It’s a whole lot of fun!
This year we made a pin the hands on the clock game that I’m planning to play at our New Year’s Eve party. Download our free printable New Year’s Clock Game template if you and your family want to play too!
