If you want your nail polish gift to feel extra special, personalization goes a long way. Choose shades that remind you of the recipient—maybe a classic nude for the minimalist friend, glitter for someone who loves sparkle, or a bold red for the glam-loving girl. Add a little note about why you picked the color, and it instantly becomes a meaningful, personalized gift idea. Little touches like this help turn a simple bottle of polish into a sweet keepsake.

It’s easy to make a bunch of these at once. My free printable nail polish gift tags are tiny so I was able to fit 10 on a page for this free template. Plus they are cheap and easy to print with just black-and-white ink on cardstock. (Get the free download using the button below)

How to Create Nail Polish Gifts (Step-by-Step)

  1. Download my free Nail Polish Gift Tags template (using the big button below).
  2. Print the free template on cardstock — you’ll just need black ink.
  3. Cut out each tag.
  4. Use a craft knife to cut out the inner circle, which just slips over the lid of the nail polish bottle. (I used Essie brand nail polish but I tested these out with a couple of the polishes at my local drugstore and it fit most. You can always cut a bigger hole if needed to fit your polish bottle.)
  5. If desired, make your gift extra festive by tying on a few jingle bells, using twine or ribbon.

  1. Hello and thanks for the article. The price of the gift is not important, but attention is important. Before, I often wondered what gifts to choose for my wife, children or mom.
