Free Printable Whoopee Cushion Valentine -- hilarious! From PagingSupermom.com #valentines #sillyvalentines #boyvalentines

As a Mom to a 6-year-old boy I’m already starting to see his enthusiasm for Valentine’s Day starting to wane. (Tear!) So last year when he came to me bubbling with excitement asking to pass out newly discovered WHOOPEE CUSHIONS to his classmates for valentines, I was tempted to let him. But, of course, I didn’t. I mean, that just doesn’t adhere to my well-mannered ideals. Leave it to Liam to remember whoopee cushion and beg to pass out whoopie cushion valentines this year. Although I’m still deciding, I can’t help loving the concept Bettijo came up with for giving the whoopee cushions as funny class valentines for kids…

TO MAKE: First, download and print our free Whoopie Cushion Valentine template (access the download by filling out the form at the end of this post). We recommend printing the template on cardstock. Cut out each valentine and have your child sign his or her name. Alternatively you can get an editable template that will allow you personalize the file with your child’s name.

We used mini whoopee cushions (3-4 inches in size) to make these funny kids valentines, but you could totally use the larger, regular-sized Whoopie cushions. At the time we made our kids valentines, the mini whoopie cushions were less expensive, but I have heard that sometimes they can be difficult to find. To assemble, place a cushion on the card as shown then using a screw punch make holes on either side of the mouthpiece being careful not to punch through the cushion itself. Loop string or twine through the holes and over the cushion. Secure with a knot.

Clearly this Whoopee Cushion Valentine is not just for little boys, but for anyone who’s a kid at heart! Go see more of our Class Valentine ideas.

  2. I love the idea of getting my son excited about valentines by using something other than candy. I clicked on the link to the whoopee cushions at Amazon and it did not specify in the description that they are mini. It says they are 8 in. In diameter. Is that the right size? I don’t want to order the wrong ones. Thanks!

  4. This is truly spectacular. So clever!

I do not have a crafty bone in my body, but I might (and I say might) be able to handle printing and attaching.

LOVE IT! (And my 12 & 16 year old kids will too!)

  5. The link you posted for the whoopee cushions lists them as unavailable and I am having a hard time finding them elsewhere. Anyone have any luck?

  6. I say, let him! This is such a cute idea. I’m a teacher and I think this would be a great idea. So many sugary treats get passed out on this day, this would be a fun alternative. His teacher may get a headache from everyone playing with them, but it’s one day. I’m actually tempted to give this to my students. They will think it’s awesome.

  7. I love this idea! My Party City had these for .59 each but I decided to buy the regular size ones for .99 because the mini whoopee didn’t seem to work very well.

  8. Made these last night for my 2nd grader. He is so excited about handing them out tomorrow. I just hope his teacher won’t hate me. I think it’s the best valentine I’ve seen. I’m over the store bought ones and wanted something different that wasn’t candy. Even if the teacher is upset I bet the kids will love it. Thanks for sharing.

  9. Disney stage musicals = The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast,Alice in Wonderland Jr.
, Aladdin Jr., Mulan Jr., High School Musical. . Children’s stage shows that are also movies = Peter Pan (many different variations of this one!), Seussical The Musical maybe could work because there are animated movies of Dr. Seuss stories, but there isn’t
a movie version of the musical show.

  14. Just saw these and I usually help my grandson make his valentines for school. He is getting though 11! but they still do the Valentine party. I think it’s because all of the moms are hanging on to one last year. Next year they will be 6th graders and they start having the mad crushes and valentines are awkward for some . Anyway, I know this is supposed to be candy free, etc…. but just couldn’t help thinking these sure would be cute with whoopee pies also! lol My age group sure remembers those. In fact I do up little favor bags for my tennis friends and I think I just found one ingredient of my favor bag.
