This free reading worksheet, focusing on words with the short “o” sound, will be good practice for early readers. Younger kids will have the most fun coloring in the pictures, but could probably do the worksheet with a little help from a parent or (even better) from an older sibling. Here’s an idea for getting a quick Mommy break — give your reading child a print out of the worksheet and suggest he/she “play school” and be the teacher for the younger child.
