Now that I’ve got my Emoji Love Valentine’s banner up on the mantle it’s feeling pretty festive around here. Next week I think we’re going to start working on the class valentines we’ll be exchanging, but first I wanted to share one more easy Valentine’s Decor idea — all you need is a globe and my printable!
I actually created this cute Valentine’s globe banner last year because I wanted some fresh and easy Valentine’s Decor. Of course I had intended on sharing it with you all before, but I ran out of time! I think it was meant to be though — this message is perfectly suited to the climate of things in our world right now. I don’t want to get even the least bit political here, since I’m guessing you all get plenty of that over on social media. (YIKES!) It’s pretty clear we could all use a little more love going around.
TO MAKE: I get really excited when I have an idea that is stunningly simple and still fabulous, and this is one of those projects. The end result is an adorable decor piece with a big impact, but seriously all you need to do is print out my free printable Valentine’s Globe Banner template, cut it out and stick it on your globe with a couple pieces of tape. A few words about the tape… you want one that will hold but come off without damaging the surface of your globe. My go to is Scotch Expressions Masking Tape, and I love their washi tape as well.
If you don’t already own a globe, I highly recommend getting one that has a metal stand. The ones with the plastic stands just make me really sad.
I’m kind of addicted to globes… it’s right up there with my cake stand addiction. If I see one (with a metal stand of course) I will probably buy it… it almost can’t be helped. Garage sales, thrift shops and ebay are excellent places to pick up vintage globes. If you just want a globe NOW though (and I totally get that too!) then consider these one, two or three you can get on Amazon PRIME! ;)
