Today I’m sharing some unique free Halloween decor prints. These zombie composers definitely have a back story… every year I host an All Hallow’s Eve dinner party and unlike traditional Halloween costume parties, it is a black-tie, sit-down dinner. I love a good theme and go all out (see photos of my past Halloween parties).
A few years ago I did a “Ghost Music” themed party. I covered an entire wall with old sheet music and even invited an invisible instrumental trio to serenade my guests. One of my favorite decorations from this party were these “Decomposers” that I created to hang on the wall. They are zombie-inspired busts of Mozart and Beethoven, which I created using Photoshop to morph some classic drawings of the composers and skulls.
It seemed like a shame for these spooky faces to only be used once so I sized them down to a more manageable size, perfect to frame for your piano! Of course you could also display these on your entry table or mantle, but what better piano Halloween decor could there be? LOL!
TO MAKE: Download the free printable “Decomposers” free Halloween decor prints at the end of this post. Print on cardstock or at your favorite photo center. The free download is setup to print both 4×6 or 5×7 prints. Frame as desired; I used my favorite black Ribba frames from IKEA. Of course you can also get the free download for the oversized Decomposers prints. These posters are surprisingly inexpensive to print as black and white engineering prints at your local copy center. I printed both of my huge prints for less the $10 total.
There really is something sinister about the unyielding, tick-tack of a metronome, and a black metronome completes this chilling Halloween piano display.
