With Easter this weekend we thought it’d be good timing to share our free printable #PlayWild Animal Ears, which include a darling set of bunny ears plus seven other zoo animal ears!

When Animal Jam asked to sponsor a post, it seemed like such a great fit — our kids were already hooked on Animal Jam, but we don’t mind since the website includes thoughtful features that keep parents informed and kids safe.

In this new age of social media, teaching kids how to be safe online is a huge challenge for us as parents. Animal Jam actually includes content helping to educate kids about how to be safe online, for example when creating a new user name, kids are reminded that they should not use their actual name. Plus as a parent you get a separate control panel where you can monitor and restrict access. Right now I have it setup so my kids are only interacting on Animal Jam with their real-life friends. To learn more about Animal Jam check out this post.

When registering on Animal Jam you get to choose to be an animal and eventually you can also choose pets, etc. So our kids loved the idea of creating these animal headbands. They wear them when they’re playing on the computer or just for fun.

As we were making these, we realized these free printable zoo animal ears could be useful for many occasions — so be sure to pin this post so you can find it later. Of course the bunny ears are great for Easter, but making all the ears could also be a great activity for a zoo birthday party or a safari-themed playdate. Perhaps these might even come in handy for a last-minute Halloween costume.

I also love that they are learning lots of great facts about animals on Animal Jam — all of the animal info on the website comes from National Geographic. When we were taking these photos, I asked Modette to act like a giraffe and do you know what she did? She stuck out her tongue! I had to laugh, but the kids pointed out that giraffe’s do have incredibly long tongues that they use to eat leaves. Here’s more about giraffe’s from the Animal Jam blog.
