5th Annual #SupermomTreeParade Holiday Home Tour

My family’s holiday season has been even crazier than usual — it’s hard to believe that is even possible. With my daughter performing in Phoenix Ballet’s The Nutcracker, and me volunteering backstage, it’s been absolutely nuts. I’ve had to cut some things, but I just didn’t want the #SupermomTreeParade to be one of those things! I love this tradition so much, and this is my FIFTH year running!

I was supposed to get this post up on Monday, which would have been 7 days until Christmas, but like I said… running behind. Better late than never, right?!

Here’s how the #SupermomTreeParade works… just share a photo, any photo of your Christmas tree or other holiday decor on Instagram and use the tag #SupermomTreeParade. Tag me @PagingSupermom so I will be sure to see your post. I will be sharing my favorites on my feed and on December 23rd I will randomly select a winner of a $50 Amazon Gift Card WOOHOO! To be eligible to win you must post a new photo, not go back and tag one you’ve already posted, but no worries it’s a proven fact that you can’t have too many Christmas trees in your feed LOL! For all the details please see the official rules at the end of this post.

When we started the #SupermomTreeParade five years ago, I had no idea just how much my kids and I would enjoy scrolling through all the photos of beautiful trees in our virtual tree parade. I love seeing all the holiday spirit, and I’ve even gleaned some great ideas over the years, like the idea of a black and white Christmas tree inspired by one I saw in the #SupermomTreeParade three or four years ago.

@PagingSupermom Bettijo's Black and White Christmas Tree

We have two Christmas trees… one is my big styled tree, and the other is our kid’s tree. I can’t decide which is my favorite because they both tug on different heartstrings. The kids actually help me decorate them both, although there is a strict color code for the styled tree, which for now is black and white.

My big tree has a new star this year from the Chip & Joanna’s Target collection — I really love it. I also added their galvanized ornaments. We have a new Eiffel Tower ornament this year to commemorate my husband and I taking our first trip to Europe this past summer.

The kid’s tree — with all it’s fun ornaments made by my kiddos over the years — ends up being a rainbow, and starting last year we actually now try to place the ornaments in rainbow order. It has a gigantic star that the kids and I made out of cardboard. It always ends up looking really FUN!

Another new addition to my Christmas decor is this fabulous Heidi Swapp Red Felt Letterboard (you can buy it here). I am SO excited about it. It’s so bold, but red is an incredibly versatile color (if you recall from my Supermom Party planning tips) — I can’t wait to dress it up for Valentine’s Day.

For now, it’s displaying the perfect holiday sentiment for us desert dwellers… I dream of a White Christmas every year here in Phoenix; although, it will probably never happen!

Bettijo's Christmas Mantle

Here’s my Christmas mantle this year too. I actually didn’t really style it… again no time! It’s not my favorite ever, but it’s certainly festive. It kind of all just fell into place as I hung up the standard stockings along with my free printable Believe Christmas banner, and added in a few of the Nutcrackers. We’ve started collecting them for obvious reasons… I see this becoming a full-blown Nutcracker mantle collection eventually. What do you think?

Now it’s your turn to show me your holiday decor! PLUS you can win $50 to Amazon! What are you waiting for? Snap a pic and share it now! XOXO
