  2. HI, I’m very sorry to nitpick , but as a teacher, I must point out that all of these except the vertical halves are not fractions. A fraction must have equal parts. I just want all little learners to get correct information. Have a lovely day.

  3. Yikes! Fractions are equal parts of a whole. Only one of those eggs show equal parts;). Cute idea, but eggs are a hard shape to demonstrate fractions.

    • You are correct, but estimating is an equally important principle. How much more often do you divide something in half by estimating than exactly in half — it’s practical and fun.

    • Thanks for your comment. I realize they are not exactly equal, but given the elementary nature of this worksheet it’s of little concern. Plus estimating is a very practical principle that is commonly taught and probably used far more often then dividing something exactly.
