Wild Thing Printable Valentines

Wild Thing Free Printable Valentine

When I was trying to come up with cute sayings for the Bouncy Ball Valentines, the lyrics of “Wild Thing, you make my heart sing” kept swirling through my mind and kind of stuck. So I decided to create a printable Valentine card based on those lyrics, and I’m so thrilled with how they turned out.

Wild Thing Printable Valentine for Teens

Given the shared positive reactions of my three and six year old girls as well as my husband — it appears this Wild Thing Valentine would be a hit among kids, teenagers and adults.

To make these Valentines, first download our free Wild Thing Printable Valentine template. The template includes both color and black-and-white versions. The black-and-white one would be fun if you have a child who loves coloring or if you want to include a little set of crayons with the cards. Also if saving printer ink is a priority, you could print the inside in color and then use the black-and-white template to print the outside.

Zebra-print Valentine Wild Thing

Since I wanted the color on my Valentines to be solid and rich, I took the template to be printed at a local copy center and was able to print double-sided in color on cardstock for just over a $1 each sheet (which yields 3 cards).

Once you have the templates printed, cut out each card. The “Inside” template is designed with some extra margin to give a little leeway since it can be difficult to get things to line up perfectly with double-sided printing. However, this means that when cutting out each card, you should use the “Outside” template as your cutting guide.

How to Fold Valentine

I designed these Valentines to be self-enveloping: simply fold closed along the dashed lines shown on the “Outside” template then tape or use a sticker to hold closed.

I made my own stickers with a 1-inch circle punch and full-sheet label. How cute would this be if you had this Martha Stewart Heart Punch? (Maybe my Valentine will get it for me?)
