Today I’m visiting Salt Lake’s KSL Studio 5 to share some of my favorite Easy Thanksgiving Ideas. These projects would make for a fun Thanksgiving craft day with your kiddos, a Thanksgiving play date or use them to create a fun Thanksgiving kids table. You can watch my segment online.
This Mod Tribal Kids Table brings so many of the fun ideas together. Make them ahead of time to use as decor and then you’ll be all ready to create a cute kid’s table on Thanksgiving Day. Those Easy Teepees are unbelievable simple to create with just copier paper and toothpicks. Since they’re so easy you can make a bunch of them.
I’ve been meaning to tell you about Chalk Couture… it’s this amazing chalk paste and transfers that make it super easy to do chalk art. Not to be confused with chalk paint — CHALK PASTE is an eraseable substitute for actual chalk as in chalkboard chalk. You put down their special CHALK TRANSFERS (kind of like a stencil) and then swipe that chalk paste over with a squeegee. Pull the transfer off and you’ve got an amazing piece of chalk art created right in your own home no matter what you’re handwriting is like! Unlike normal stencils, these chalk transfers are like screens (from a screenprinted tee) so you don’t have to deal with the paste bleeding underneath. Seriously it’s like MAGIC!
I also love these Caramel Corncobs, and you’ll definitely want to get my recipe for Easy Caramel Popcorn that requires no thermometers and can be whipped up in less than 15 minutes.
Probably the highlight of my Thanksgiving kid’s table every year are these super-fun Crayon Turkeys. You’ll need a saw and drill to make these, but they’re totally worth it since you can use them again and agin. My kids love them so much they’ve become a permanent fixture on our Thanksgiving table.
Speaking of crayons… this Color Me Thankful collection of printables goes along perfectly. It’s funny because this is one of the first printable collections we ever made when we started blogging over 6 years ago — so please forgive the dark photos. Also back then we recommended printing these on cream paper, but with the teepees and the rest of the decor, I would use white cardstock instead.
If you’d like a banner that doesn’t need to be colored, this free-printable Give Thanks banner has a crisp and simple design that coordinates perfectly with the rest of my Easy Thanksgiving ideas.
These easy Tribal Drums are made with recycled tin cans, balloons and my free printable can wrap. The kids absolutely love them and Moms will like that they’re not too loud! ;)
Here are some educational and easy Thanksgiving ideas that are perfect for a playdate or to set out on your Thanksgiving kid’s table: make a Fraction Pie and do some of our free printable Thanksgiving worksheets. Speaking of pie, check out my tutorial for no-fear pie crust!
