The Easiest Slime Recipe

‘Tis the season to get slimed! We love a little Mad Lab fun around Halloween, and what better thing to whip up with your sinister scientists than gloppy, green slime? Don’t worry I’ve got the easiest slime recipe, and we’re sharing it today!

This is the EASIEST slime recipe that I've seen via @PagingSupermom

We have seen lots of slime recipes on Pinterest, and they are all pretty much the same using dried Borax granules as the key ingredient. These recipes aren’t super difficult, but when we’ve tried them out, the mixing process is a little more time consuming than we’d like — especially with excited kiddos screaming for slime. This simpler Slime Recipe uses liquid starch instead (which is also cheaper — yay!), and with just three simple ingredients it’s fantastically easy. Make it with your kids and you’ve got a total #SupermomMoment!

Liquid starch is the key to this easiest slime recipe. Available at most grocery stores near the laundry and ironing supplies, and I used the Sta-Flo brand.

EEK! This Easiest Slime Recipe looks fun & spooky for #Halloween via @PagingSupermom

We shared this fabulously simple slime recipe in this month’s issue of Raising Arizona Kids magazine. Go check it out.

How to Make the Easiest Slime Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
Bottle of school glue (4 oz.)
Warm water
OPTIONAL: 10 drops of neon green food coloring (or 1 tablespoon of craft paint)
2/3 cup liquid starch (I used the Sta-Flo brand found with ironing supplies)

TO MAKE THE SLIME: Empty a four-ounce bottle of school glue into a bowl. Fill the empty glue bottle with warm water, shake and pour out into the bowl. If desired, color the slime by mixing in food coloring or paint. Blend well — I like to use a whisk for this part. Finally add the liquid starch and stir with a spoon until it thickens into SLIME!!
