So we’ve mentioned our trip to the SNAP conference and the fabulous floral arranging workshop, but we’ve also been meaning to share photos from the super-cool tour of American Crafts warehouse that we got to take before SNAP started. So here we go…
It is funny that being bloggers now, Aimée and I are totally used to each other snapping photos and Instagramming while we talk/shop/whatever. But since my friend Grant was giving us a personal tour of the American Crafts offices, Aimée and I discussed ahead of time that we should really downplay the photo taking. Of course we wanted a few pics to share with you all, but we agreed that Aimée would take a few discreet snapshots here and there and that’s it. Once we got inside, though, that play-it-cool plan went out the window. It was inspiration overload, I started snapping pics and couldn’t stop!
Inside the American Crafts warehouse… looks just like a warehouse, right? But wait, it gets better… they had a little mock-up shop. Grant said it is where they bring in buyers from big retailers and show them how the product lineup would look on store shelves. Aimée and I were in heaven!
Ever heard of Glitter Tape? Yes, TAPE! I know — we were super excited too!! Plus I had to take a photo of the cute glitter packages that reminded me of the mini flair buttons we handed out at SNAP.
So many cool American Craft products — both those we already know and love (like those darling Delights flowers with the button centers — watch for those in our upcoming Lalaloopsy Birthday Party!) and some new items we’d never seen before (like those cool Chipboard Accents that are part of their Crate Paper line).
Of course I had to pose for a picture in front of the Thickers wall! Thickers are my most favorite American Crafts product. They are super-fabulous letter stickers made out of foam, chipboard, glitter, felt, fabric, vinyl, puffy plastic and more! They are so fun for scrapbooking but really for anything, and I literally hoard them at my house. Isn’t that new scripty font adorable? I don’t have it… yet.
After mopping my drool up off the floor of the Thicker aisle, we headed up to tour the American Craft offices which were essentially a bunch of desks and cubicles. We were moving pretty quickly so I didn’t get pics, but I did snap this last shot of the American Crafts designers’ shared workroom door sign… made with Thickers, of course.
Oooohhhh what an amazing trip!
OMG OMG OMG I would have loved to have been there! Just to take a peek inside would be SUPER AWESOME! I mean seriously look at all those Thickers….gimmy gimmy gimmy LOL! So cool!
