In case you missed it, last week I told you about a well-kept secret: behind-the-scene tours of Peter Piper Pizza. Come along with us on another adventure around our town…
Liam’s preschool teacher scheduled another outing for us at Albertsons, a local grocery store. The tour was free and lasted just under an hour or so.
The tour began with a stop at the deli. Each child was given a jumbo potato fry to eat while on our way over to the bakery where the cake decorator was making a Snow White birthday cake!
Next, we were whisked off to Seafood. Looking in the lobster tank and feeling a live lobster were the highlights here.
Then we were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of the stock room. Surprisingly, the stock room consisted mostly of empty boxes. I guess it makes sense that all the merchandise (food) would be out on the sales floor, right? Anyway, the box crusher stole the show… Each and every kid, boys and girls alike, were in awe watching the machine crush the boxes.
Just as exciting for the kids was seeing this forklift full of smashed boxes.
After walking into the freezer, we made our way back to the front of the store. Here, each kid got to play cashier! Everyone took turns scanning items, running the conveyer belt and working the packing turn table.
Admittedly, it was really fun—and not just for the kids!
Excellent points altogether, you just received a brand new reader. What would you suggest about your post that you made some days in the past? Any sure?
